We need you

We Need Volunteers

The Agoura Hills Fire Safe Council (AHFSC) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that depends upon volunteers to accomplish its mission.

To accomplish the objective of creating Agoura Hills Firewise Communities, communities are required to annually record volunteer activities focused on fire prevention and protection.

We need your help.

There are many skill sets that can be useful in our mission to protect your community, families, and property from wildfire.

Are you willing to donate a few hours a month to help protect Agoura Hills from wildfire?

Do you have any of these skills?

  • Community Team Leaders – Neighborhood and HOA leaders help get their community involved with wildfire prevention. This position is very important to our success!
  • Content Writers – If are a writer, you can help us create content for our website and social media channels. We could also use a photographer in support of these articles.
  • Grant Writers – AHFSC applies for local, state, and federal grants to help fund our wildfire prevention educational programs and activities. We have found that many of the grants are fairly straightforward, but some of the larger ones require grant-writing knowledge.
  • IT Assistant – Have IT skills? We manage a website and make social media posts on Nextdoor, Facebook, and Instagram. If you have these skills, we could use your help.

We appreciate any number of hours or activities that you can give us. Any, and all, volunteers are appreciated and welcome.
