On April 4th, 2024, the CA Department of Insurance held a webinar “Wildfire and Disaster Insurance On-line Town Hall,” hosted by Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara, Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin, and the Las Virgenes-Malibu Council of Governments.
Agoura Hills’ very own Mayor Pro Tem Penny Sylvester was part of the panel and asked Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara (CDI) and Chief Daniel Berlant (CAL FIRE), some very tough and direct questions.
We cannot just complain about the current home insurance conundrum, we must educate ourselves and become part of the solution.
