City of Agoura Hills WRA Site Visit
In March, the Agoura Hills Fire Safe Council, as part of the Stakeholders Workshop Group, did a site visit inspection with LA County Fire, LA County Sheriff, and other stakeholders as part of the Wildfire Risk Assessment (WRA) being done by Jensen Hughes for the City of Agoura Hills. We toured the City and made stops at eight specific locations to discuss the risks of wildfire to our City. The completed WRA is expected later in the year and will lead to a comprehensive Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP). If you have not done so already, please complete the public survey that is part of the WRA.

City of Agoura Hills: Goal Setting Workshop
At the first meeting of the City’s 2025-2026 Goal Setting Workshop, the Agoura Hills Fire Safe Council was happy to see that one of the goals under consideration is Wildfire Prevention and Resident Education. Your Agoura Hills Fire Safe Council has been working hard at advocating for the City to prioritize resident wildfire education and also come up with affordable solutions for Home Hardening and Defensible Space. We look forward to partnering with the City to harden Agoura Hills’ homes against wildfire.

Three more Firewise Communities
Old Agoura, Peacock Ridge, and Reyes Adobe communities have started the process of becoming Firewise Communities. It is the goal of the Agoura Hills Fire Safe Council to get all of Agoura Hills communities to be Firewise.
