Your Firewise Community Needs You!
Every year Residents in Firewise USA® Communities are required to submit a certain amount of “Firewise activities” to maintain their “In Good Standing” status.
Each November, Firewise Community Leaders must reapply.
Please submit your Firewise Activities to ensure your community remains “In Good Standing.”
Firewise Activities you are probably already doing. You just need to submit them.
- Did you do any yard work, or did you pay someone to do it?
- Did you pay someone to paint your home’s exterior wood?
- Did you do any home hardening, or did you pay someone to do it?
- Did you replace the weatherstripping around your garage door?
- Did you pay someone to do any defensible space work or do any Zone 0 work?
- Did you put a new roof on?
- Did you bring your vents up to code or install ember-resistant vent mesh?
- Did you enclose your eaves or replace your windows with dual-pane tempered windows?
- Did you remove or trim any of your trees?
- Did you attend any online or in-person public meetings about wildfire mitigation?
All these activities qualify as Firewise Activities, and a lot more…
